As you can see from the asterisk at the end, this passage marks the end of a section. Next up will, I think be a flashback of Brioc talking to a political figure, or someone connected to the king, or, perhaps better, a soldier, back in Gelota. Once back in the present, Brioc will have been having lessons for several days, gaining some intellectual insight into Vrindalaya healing, but no real emotional, or spiritual insight - which is the important thing. The not-Ruga will want Brioc to provide money for buying the drug used to enter the healing trance.
Wrote 394 words today - at the bookshop/café in Whaley - bringing the total wordcount to a massive 10,127. The story is moving on to an important scene. With any luck this might just motivate me to get the bloody thing finished within a reasonable span of time and words.
